John King aka Westmotel is a Sydney based illustrator who captures modern and vintage female beauty. His works are beautifully bold and contrasting, relying only on black and white or black and light pink for shape, depth and flow. Photoshop is the tool of choice for illustration, however inspiration for each work comes from far and wide.
Westmotel's designs put a sexy modern spin on
pin-up models, inspired by:

- Vintage magazines such as 'Playboy', 'Jem' and 'Lui'
- Cabaret
- Erotic pulp films
Desiree Mattsson is a contemporary photographer featured in Vogue, Vanity Fair and Elle, who's photos have provided inspiration for several of Westmotel's works.
